IT TAKES A VILLAGE
We are a parent run kids ministry, & it takes a dedicated team of people to make FOLLOW KIDS run each week. FOLLOW KIDS is a fun, and vibrant place where kids get to build relationships with God and a community of like minded people. This is only possible with a host of passionate and enthusiastic individuals who invest in the lives of our kids. KINDER Kids
Our KINDER KIDS are children who are in 3 & 4 year old Kinder. They join our 'Big Group' time with the older kids before heading off to their own tailored time together.
Room Leaders: Use the resources provided to run the lesson and organise a craft activity to suit to the story (this can be organised personally or with help from the Kids Ministry Director). All resources can be purchased through the Ministry Director so there is no personal cost.
Room Assistants: Help the room leaders to set up and pack up the room and help run the program by coming alongside the children. This helps to ensure a safe and inviting learning environment.
JUNIOR Kids
Our JUNIOR KIDS are children who are from Prep - Grade 2. They start with a 'Big Group' time with the other kids, before heading off to their own small group.
Room Leaders: Use the resources provided to run the lesson, which includes leading discussion, running activities, and may include organising a craft to suit the story (this can be organised personally or with help from the Kids Ministry Director). All resources can be purchased through the Ministry Director so there is no personal cost.

SENIOR Kids
Our JUNIOR KIDS are children who are from Grade 3 - Grade 6. They start with a 'Big Group' time with the other kids, before heading off to their own small group.

CHECK IN
The check in person is the first point of contact for the Follow Kids program and they help our kids are sign into the program each week. They also help with kid registrations and the safety of our program.
TRAILER
Since we are located at Saint Margarets, all of our resources are brought in each week via an enclosed trailer stored at the Office. The trailer person picks up the Kids trailer from the church property, brings and unloads it at Berwick Grammar before 9:15am on a Sunday morning. After the program is finished, the trailer needs to be packed and returned to the church office. This generally takes about 1/2 an hour in the morning before church and another 1/2 hour after church. If you don't have a vehicle with a tow bar, the church can provide a ute for this purpose.
OUR COMMITMENT TO CHILD SAFETY
At Follow Baptist Church (FBC) we are committed to child safety in all aspects of our programs. All of our leaders, support team members, and volunteers are bound by FBC's Policies, including, but not limited to our Child Safe Policy and Code of Conduct. This ensures we create a vibrant and safe culture in all that we do.
As a team member you will be:
Trained and equipped for your role,
Adhere to our Child Safe Policy, Code of Conduct and other policies as necessary,
Have a current valid 'Working with Children's Check' (or equivalent)
Complete a 'Safe Spaces' workshop. Note: this step to be introduced in first term of 2026.
In all of this you will be guided, encouraged, equipped and supported by our Follow Kids Ministry Director, Pr Wally.
