What is Alpha?

Alpha is a safe space where you can openly chat about life’s big questions, with people who have the same questions you do! Imagine a free, fun, informal setting, where everyone can come to the table with questions about life, faith and meaning - that’s Alpha. Alpha is run anywhere people gather, all across Australia and is a great way to connect with people in your community and know you're not alone with your questions. Over 1,000,000 have been to Alpha in Australia.

Topics like ‘What is the answer to loneliness?’ and ‘Is there more to life than this?’ are just some of the conversations we’ll have together. No question is out of bounds and you are free to discuss as much or as little as you wish. You may not be sure if Alpha is for you, if this is the case, feel free to join for the first introductory session ‘Is There More to Life Than This?’ and then decide if you’d like to come for the rest.

Alpha Runs in the first term of every year (Tues or Wed night, still to be confirmed for 2026) Alpha is free of charge and registrations are now open.
